Mrs. Alberta Marie Prince Chapman, affectionately known as Marie, age 92 of Sparta, formerly of Pulaski, Tennessee passed away at 2:55am Sunday, August 22, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Chapman was born December 13, 1928 in Christian County, Kentucky to the late Robert & Eunie Knight Prince.  She worked as a seamstress, retiring from a garment factor, but loved sewing and quilting in her spare time. She earned extra money through her love of sewing and craft projects. If she wasn't busy sewing, she could often be found fishing.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Earl Chapman; two brothers Jewel Prince and William Prince; sister Georgie Prince Hight; grandson Mark McIntosh.

Surviving family members include her daughter Kay (David) Glover

Two sons: Johnny "Doug" (Kay) McIntosh and Robert Earl Chapman

Grandchildren: Beth Baker, Ginny Sullivan, David Glover, Jared McIntosh, Jason McIntosh, Melissa Inman and Ashley Joiner

Ten great-grandchildren

Numerous nieces and nephews also survive

The Chapman family has entrusted Hunter Funeral Home with Mrs. Chapman's cremation and no public services are planned.
