Mr. Alfred Jackson Pitts, Jr.,better known as A.J. or Jack, age 82 of Sparta, passed away Sunday evening, September 22, 2024 at NHC of Sparta.

A.J. was born December 11, 1941 in Albany, Georgia to the late Alfred Jackson and Rachel Louise Cross Pitts, Sr. He was a proud graduate of Mercer with a degree in Theology, he was a member of Byne Baptist Church in Albany. He was a furniture repairman and salesman. After his retirement he worked as a substitute teacher. A.J. served his nation in the United States Army.

Surviving family members left to cherish his memory include his wife of 60 years Pamela Murray Pitts

Son: Jack Pitts and wife Melissa

Grandchildren: Karrilynne Elizabeth "Karri" Pitts, Trinity Nicole "Nikki" Pitts and Richard Jacob Pitts

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00pm est. October 2, 2024 at Crown Hill Cemetery in Albany, Georgia with military honors by the American Legion.
