Ms. Barbara Gail Jett, age 81 formerly of Sparta, passed away Wednesday evening, February 17, 2021 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tennessee.

Barbara Gail was born October 26, 1939 in White County to the late C.O. Jett and Charlie Mae Jett.  She was a gentle, kind, and loving aunt who cherished her family.  She enjoyed going to church, reading, shopping, and enjoyed being around the farm and her animals growing up in Sparta.  In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her brothers Charles B. Jett, John L. Jett and a sister-in-law Annelle Bockman Jett.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Barbara Ann Jett Saylors

Nieces Tonya Jett Thompson, Denise Jett Richardson

Nephews Greg Jett and John L. Jett, Jr.

She also had four great nieces, four great nephews, two great-great nieces, and four great-great nephews.

Our family would like to express our gratitude to Lu Schultz who was her caregiver for several years.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Highland Cemetery, Sparta, Tennessee. There will be no public visitation prior to the service. Rick Thompson will officiate.
