Mrs. Barbara Gail Scott Mabe, age 65 of Sparta, passed away at 12:30am, Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.

Barbara was born February 7, 1956 in McMinnville, Tennessee. She was a former Aquatech employee. She loved anything outdoors. She enjoyed arrowhead hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Edwina Scott & Norman Mabe; son James Mabe; father of her children Shirley Mabe.

Survivors include her children Shirleen (Roger) Stewart, Christine Golden & fiance' Frankie Randolph, Michelle (Chad) Walker and Jerry Mabe

Grandchildren: James, Chris, Billy, Jr., Dustin, Jordan, Ashlee, Stephanie, Beth, Jayden, Tosha, Annie, Josh and Destiny

Great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Bentley, Mallory, Carter, Corbyn, Amilia, Z Jay, Camron, Laney and Mavericke

Sister: Norma Jean (Ed) Taylor

Special friends: Steve Smith and Michelle Hammock

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Saturday, February 5, 2022 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Taylors Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8:00pm Friday at Hunter Funeral Home. Arnold Conley will officiate.

Billy Golden, Jr, Jordan Golden, Josh Key, James Walker and Christopher Walker will serve the family as pallbearers.
