Mrs. Betty Jean Kirby Lawson, age 84 of Sparta, passed away at 10:31am Christmas Eve morning at NHC of Smithville.

Mrs. Lawson was born November 19, 1937 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Elijah Lee "Trigger" & Ruby Jo Vinson Kirby. She retired from Wagner and was a member of Community Free Will Baptist Church at Camp Heights. She loved sewing and quilting and being with her family. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Charlie Lee Lawson who died November 14, 2005.

Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include her daughter Ramona England and husband Lester

Granddaughter: Drema Jenice Allison and husband Zeb

Great-grandson: Thomas Reed Allison

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00pm Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 10:00am Wednesday at Hunter Funeral Home. Jonathan Baker will officiate.
