Betty Joyce Selby

Betty Joyce Selby peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at the Inglenook House in Englewood Florida surrounded by friends and family who loved her.

Betty was born November 27, 1941 in Albany, Kentucky to the late George Earl and Audrey May Thomson Albertson. She made her career as a caregiver and working in children's homes. As she lived her life, she was polite, witty, funny and thankful until her final moments in this life.  She will be fondly remembered for her compassion to others and her love for hummingbirds. She was the wife of the late Ronnie Neal Selby I who passed away June 8, 2003 and she will soon rest by his side. In addition to her husband and parents, she is also preceded in death by sons, Vernie and Larry.

Surviving family members include her children, Johnny, Larry, Audie, Verne, Ron II, and Robert.

Grand-children, great grand-children, and several siblings in Florida, Tennessee and Indiana also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00pm Saturday, July 25, 2026 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Indian Mound Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 10:00am Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home.
