Billy "Snake" Mitchell, age 83 of Sparta passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at his residence.  He was born August 20, 1938 in White County, TN to the late Millie Mitchell.  He was also preceded in death by a son: Billy Joe Mitchell, and his brother: Roy Lee Mitchell.

He retired as a White County School Bus Driver after 18 years of service and served in the Tennessee National Guard for 2 Years.  He enjoyed fishing and working on lawn mowers.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years:  Mary June Brown Mitchell

2 Sons:  Terry (Tammy) Mitchell and Robert Mitchell

Grandchildren:  Amanda (Ireneo) Rose and Makayla Mitchell

Great-grandchildren:  Hallie Rose and Ada Rose

Sister:  Barbara Davis

Along with several Nieces and Nephews

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in the Blankenship-Ballew-Baker cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am on Friday until Service time.  Bro. Dewey Young will officiate the service.
