Bro. Freddie Lee Copeland, affectionately known as Bro. Freddie, age 93 of the Plum Creek community, went home to the Lord at 5:45pm on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Life Care Center of Sparta.
Bro. Freddie was born September 19, 1928 in White County to the late Eddie Wilburn & Julia Ova Bradley Copeland. His calling in ministry began in 1955, and he founded Copeland's Chapel Church five years later. Countless people have heard his Sunday morning program that began in 1957 on WSMT radio, a ministry he looked forward to every Sunday morning. He enjoyed his pastoral work and was truly a dedicated, full-time minister that conducted hundreds of funerals and weddings. Through his efforts and dedication, many people accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. In addition, Bro. Freddie enjoyed farming and taking care of his beef cattle. In 2018 Bro. Freddie retired from ministry and farming at the age of 90.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Adcock Copeland who died April 26, 1966; granddaughter Sherri Beth Bradley; brothers Clifford, Charlie, Melvin, Edward, David and two infant brothers; sisters Mattie Henry Lafever, Julia Mills, Reba Haynes, Geneva Mason and Linda Keir.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years Donna Sue McCowan Copeland

Great-grandchildren: Kassidy Hubert, Cade & Laura Huff, Rachel & Andy McDonald, Carli Cayce, Asher, Poppy, Violet, Jeremiah and Judah Davis, Isaiah, Iris, Ivy and Indie Chavez
Brothers and sisters-in-law Paul Haynes, Oscar McCowan, Oliver McCowan and Jean, Paul McCowan and Anna, Argle McCowan and Charlotte, Faye McCowan and Roberta McCowan
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Monday, January 31, 2022 at Copeland's Chapel Church with burial in Copeland's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-6:00pm, and after 9 am Monday at the Church David Wayne Copeland, Robert Wright and Dan Horton will officiate.
David Bradley, Larry Officer, Eddy Wayne Humphrey, Scott Kelley, Jeff Clayborn, Donnie Huff, Chance Kelley and Duke Davis will serve the family as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Darvin Oakes, Dan Horton, Gerald England,Bryan Simmons, Robert Wright, Loyd Finley, Adam McDonald, Rafael Chavez and Joel Cayce
