Mrs. Carolyn Jeanette Hutson Tenpenny, age 63 of Sparta, passed away unexpectedly at 11:52am on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 in the Emergency Room of St. Thomas Highlands Hospital.

Jeanette was born January 22, 1959 in Sparta, Tennessee. She was a retired bank teller with US Bank. When she retired, she enjoyed staying at home and reading a book, especially if Steven King were the author. If she was not at home, she could be found on her white Heritage Edition Soft tail Harley Davidson, that she proudly rode all over the southeastern United States. Jeanette is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Eugene Hutson; infant daughter Cathryn Laurine Shubert; husband Harlan Tenpenny and brother Jim Hutson.

Surviving family members include her mother Cora Bell Holtzclaw

Daughter: Laura Shubert and fiance' Zach Wray

Sister: Reba Gentry and husband Bob

Brother: Richard Hutson

Several nieces and nephews also survive

Hunter Funeral Home has been entrusted with Jeanette's cremation and her family will have a gathering of friends from 3-5:00pm Friday, December 16, 2022 in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home.
