Mrs. Cathy Irene Parks Lance, age 65 of Crossville, passed away at 9:01pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville.

Cathy was born July 13, 1958 in Crossville, Tennessee to the late Bobby Lee and Donna Irene Emerton Parks. She was a former seamstress and a founder and owner of Cumberland Roofing alongside her husband. She was instrumental in operating the business, from running the office to making sure materials were delivered to the job sites. She was an avid gardener and loved working in her flower beds. She enjoyed fishing, flea markets and yard sales. Her competitive spirit came out during one of her favorite pastimes of playing Bingo.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a brother Michael Parks and a special aunt Leona Sherrill.

Two step-sons: Junior Lance of Sparta and Brian Lance of Madisonville, TN

Three sisters: Elaine Qualls and Dave Caldwell of Sparta, Mary Headerick, Charlotte Ladd and husband Harold of Georgia

Brother: Charlie Parks and wife Teresa of Georgia

Aunt: Dorothy Blaylock and husband James of Sparta

Grandchildren: Samuel, Jacob, Abigail, Matthew, Brooklyn, Brian and Haley

Two great-grandchildren

Special friend: Nancy Margeson

Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Saturday, April 6, 2024 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home. Mike Garrett will officiate.
