Mr. Cecil Aaron Foster, age 68 of Sparta, passed away at 9:56pm on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 in the Emergency Room of St. Thomas Highlands Hospital.

Cecil was born November 13, 1956 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late J.C. and Bernie Ruth Johnson Foster. Cecil worked as a diesel mechanic and ultimately shop manager before starting a long career in satellite installation. He was a Jack of All Trades and the family fix it man. He was an avid hunter of arrowheads and loved to unwind with an episode of Gunsmoke alongside his Great Pyrenees, Tucker.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his beloved daughter Erin Leigh Foster who died April 3, 2000.

Surviving family members left to cherish his memory include his wife of 46 years Leigh Ann Williams Foster

Son: Will Foster and  Beth-Marie Tunia

Brother: Jason (Tabitha) Foster

Sisters: Sue Savage, Gail (Eugene) Lawson, Wanda (Gary) Stafford, Brenda Pope, Sharron (Byron)  Mason, Laurie (Tom) Pemberton and Lynda Jolley

A host of nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00pm Sunday, July 13, 2025 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends after 12:00pm Sunday at Hunter Funeral Home. Eugene Lawson will officiate. In honor of Cecil's wishes, he will be cremated following his funeral service.
