Ms. Cecil Blaylock Warren, age 94 of Sparta, passed away on Monday evening April 1, 2025 at her residence.

Ms. Warren was born October 20, 1930 in the Glade Creek Community to the late Thomas and Rosie Ann Rector Williams. She was a former shirt factory worker and a homemaker. Countless families called on her to sing at funerals, which she took great pride in being able to do. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by husbands Rev. Cleveland Blaylock and William Paul Warren; sons Joe Williams, Glenn Blaylock and Johnny Ray Blaylock; grandchildren Eric Blaylock and Lisa Vance; great-grandson Malachi Fox; sister Addie Yott; brother Thomas Williams, Jr. and several half sisters.

Surviving family members include her two sons Cletus Blaylock and Billy Blaylock

Grandchildren: Michael Blaylock, Kyla Phillips, Isaac Blaylock, Kimberly Vance, Colby Blaylock, Casey Blaylock, Kelly Studley, Lee Blaylock

A host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren

Daughters-in-law: Karen Blaylock and Rosalee Blaylock

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Sunday, April 6, 2025 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Smith Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7:00pm Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home. Bishop Charles Dotson will officiate.

Colby Blaylock, Izay Roberson, Eli McDonald, Brody Blaylock, John Studley and Lee Blaylock will serve as pallbearers.
