Charles William Hignite

Charles William Hignite, 72, of Trotwood, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, August 1, 2026. He was born on July 29, 1954.

Charles was a devoted father, a proud and loving Pa, and a hardworking retired tool and die worker. He had a lifelong love of sports, especially hockey. After playing hockey as a child, he remained involved in the hockey community, where he built friendships that lasted a lifetime. Whether cheering on his favorite teams or spending a quiet day fishing, Charles found joy in the simple things and in the people he loved most.

He was preceded in death by his father Bill Hignite; his mother Donna Walker; his stepfather Philip Walker; his younger brother Joe Hignite; and his younger sister Terri Hignite.

Charles leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory, including his younger brother Robert Hignite; his son Jason Hignite; his daughter Cherry Seibers; and his grandsons Mason and Kaden. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends whose lives were touched. Honorable mention to his best friend Mark "Torkle' Seitz and close cousin Michael Wright

Though he will be deeply missed, Charles's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Hunter's Funeral Home has been entrusted with Charles's cremation. The family will hold a graveside service at a later date, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and honor his memory.
