Obituary

Mr. Charles Allen Pinegar, best known as Allen to his family, friends and customers, age 82 of Sparta, passed away at 12:18pm Friday, June 4, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Pinegar was born August 5, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Amos Floyd and Vina Mae Griffin Pinegar. He served customers of the Upper Cumberland for 51 years as an Electrolux Vacuum Salesman and took great pride in providing excellent service for his clients. When Electrolux closed their store in Cookeville, he began selling the vacuums and accessories from his home. Even while dealing with his illness, his phone was with him in the hospital in case a customer was in need. Allen's great customer care was evident by the trips he won around the world from Electrolux. However, he would not travel over the ocean because he did not want to be that far away from his customers. When he was not working, he was a gentlemen farmer and kept a meticulous lawn. He had a passion for classic cars and loved watching the classic car auctions on television. He even had the opportunity to go to a Barrett Jackson Auction a few years ago.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother Curtis Lee Pinegar.

Surviving family members include his wife of 52 years Wanda Pinegar
