Mr. Charles Ray Wilkins, age 69 of Sparta, passed away Tuesday morning September 24, 2024 at his residence.

Charles was born January 5, 1955 in Sparta, Tennessee. He was a longtime employee of Southern Wood Products. His days were devoted to watching westerns, his Saturdays were spent watching racing at dirt tracks and Sundays to watching NASCAR on television. Although all of his time and love was devoted to being "Big Pa" to family.

Charles is preceded in death by his great-grandmother Bessie Ivey; mother Cleva Dale Rich; father and step-mother, Mount Herman and Bonnie Wilkins; brother Herman Lee Wilkins and grandson Chase Davis.

Survivors include his four daughters: Elaine Killian and husband Shannon, Marlena Wilkins, Hannah Wilkins and Tracy Stanley

Grandchildren: Zachary Wilkins-Nelson, Zoey Moore, Connor Killian, Autumn Patterson and Chelsey (Jared) Batson

Sisters: Ruth Wilkins, Kathy Cartee and Lisa (Wayne) Keith

Brothers: Maurice (Linda) Wilkins, James "Pete" (Beverly) Wilkins and David Wilkins

Special friend: Debbie Young

A host of nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Friday, September 27, 2024 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8:00pm Thursday at Hunter Funeral Home. Doug Benningfield will officiate.

Mike Stowers, Zachary Wilkins-Nelson, Connor Killian, Doug Carr, Darryl Young, Joseph Young, Pete Wilkins and Matthew Shubert will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hunter Funeral Home, PO Box 90, Sparta, TN 38583 to help the Wilkins family with funeral expenses.
