Mrs. Charlotte Lee Spivey Young, age 66 of Sparta, passed away at 5:37pm Saturday, May 21, 2022 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville.

Charlotte, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to so many was born March 17, 1956 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Clyde Spivey, Sr. and Vivian Tennie Parks Spivey. She worked in the shirt factories most of her life, then at Mallory later known as Emerson until its closure. She completed her working years taking care of others at Life Care Center of Sparta. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Howard Wayne Young; great-grandson Brenden Chance Jones, Jr.; son in law Sam Cravens; sister Darlene Steele.

Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include her three children Vivian Renaye Spivey Jones, Tonia Ann Cravens Lake, Dennison Dewayne Young

Seven grandchildren: Takiela Spivey, Morgan (Jocelyn) Cravens, Chance Jones, Megan Cravens, Faith Jones, Alyssa Young and Brandon Young

Two great-grandchildren: Addisyn and Jaxton Spivey

Brothers: Clyde "Pap" Spivey, Ray "Pejoe" (Connie) Spivey, David (Sherry) Spivey, Johnny Spivey

Half siblings: Priscilla Hadden and Cletus Spivey

One fur great-grand: Titan

Several nieces, nephews and children in which she helped raise and loved her as her own

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until service time Wednesday at Hunter Funeral Home. Richard Cox will officiate.

Chance Jones, Brandon Young, Barry Young, Barlon Young, Morgan Cravens, Steven Young and John Spivey will serve the family as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are her "girls", the caring staff of NHC McMinnville including Tammy Phillips, Shelly Jordan, Jessica Prater, Amy Mitchell and Juan Milstead
