Mrs. Christina May Lewis Shirley affectionately known as Christy, age 47 of Sparta, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Christy was born March 29, 1976 in Crossville, Tennessee. She was a homemaker and a mother hen not only to her children and grandchildren but to all of her nieces and nephews as well. She will always be remembered for funny and jovial spirit. She loved her Lord and reading the Bible on a daily basis. She is preceded in death by her brother Jacob Conrad "Jake" Lewis.

Two children: Katie Marie Shirley and Joshua Kyle Shirley

Grandchildren: Jasiah Kyle Shirley and Jakari Kyrie Shirley

Mother: Ronda Bray and husband Donnie

Father: Danny Lewis and wife Mary

Sisters: Karen Reshone Lewis, Crystal Jean Godsey, Charlie Lewis

Brothers: Terry "TK" Lewis, Dusty Shane Bray, Corey Sturgeon Bray, David Bess, Bobby Kirby and Ray Ball

Special aunt: Judy Barnes

Special niece: Haley Lewis

A host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in New Bon Air Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8:00pm Monday at Hunter Funeral Home. Bishop Charles Dotson will officiate.

Timmy Lewis, Dean Webb, Kelton Godsey, Timmy Hayton, Devon Alred and Riley Brock will serve the family as pallbearers.
