Clara Maguschak, age 95 of Sparta, passed away on September 7, 2026 at Charter Senior Living in Cookeville where she resided for two years.

Clara was born April 4, 1931 in Beaver Meadows, PA to the late Peter Kovalick and Mary Markochick. She resided in Beaver Meadows for 49 years before moving to Tennessee. Clara and Robert “Bobby” married Jan 7, 1951 and shared 57 years of marriage. Clara was most proud of her Tennessee nickname of “Miss Clara” by the community and the many children she cared for through her day care center for 20 years.

In addition to parents, Clara is preceded in death by her husband Robert, in 2008, son Robert (Robbie) in 2016, son-in-laws Mark Swankoski and Michael Conway; sister Marie Cisar and brother Vincent Kovalick.

She is survived by her children, Bonita (David) Williams, Orefield PA; Debra Conway, Coopersburg PA; Janet (Michael ) Volpe, Downingtown PA; Lori (Jeff) Jones, Sparta TN. 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; brother Peter, Vienna, VA, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements will be announced Thursday morning.
