Ms. Darlene Young, age 74 of Bulls Gap, Tennessee, a native of Sparta, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025 at Buchanan Nursing Home and Rehab in New Tazewell, Tennessee.

Darlene was born July 2, 1950 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Ben F. and Pearl Lee Young, Sr. She was a former garment factory worker. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her grandson Jerry Lynn Davis, Jr.; siblings Ben F. Young, Jr., Erbie Young, Charles Young and Sherry Humphrey.

Survivors include her daughter Cheryl Saylors

Grandson: Travis Davis and wife Meagan

Granddaughter: Kayla Zinkhon and husband Levi

Great-grandchildren: Aiden, Lydia and Dominic Davis, Preston and Nolan Zinkhon

Granddaughter in law: Shonda Conti-Davis

Sister: Wilma Miller

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Young Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Tuesday at Hunter Funeral Home. Dewey Young will officiate.
