Mr. Daryl Lindsey Vaughn age 53 of Sparta, passed away at 8:48pm Friday, May 14, 2021 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital with complications of Covid.

Daryl was born December 1, 1967 in Sparta, Tennessee to JoAnn England Vaughn and the late James Daniel "JD" Vaughn. A lifetime member of the Findlay Methodist Church, Daryl was active in various roles within the church and choir.  In addition to his passion for farming and gardening, he loved fishing and antique tractor pulling. Daryl served as President of the White County Laity and was a member of the Cattlemen's Association. For the last 16 1/2 years, he worked as a meter reader for Middle Tennessee Natural Gas.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in New Bon Air Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 4-8:00pm at Hunter Funeral Home. Paul Allen will officiate.

Kenneth Whitaker, James Ernest, Greg McCaskey, Terry Hennessee, Jerry Birdwell and Tyler Vaughn will serve the family as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are the employees of Middle Tennessee Natural Gas, Grayson Birdwell, Trevor Birdwell, Levi Whittaker and Blake Gongaware.
