Thomas Davis Weber, better known as David or Dave, age 82 of Sparta passed away Friday, February 20, 2026 at NHC in Sparta, Tennessee.

Dave was born October 23, 1943 in Lynchburg, Virginia to the late Melvin Joseph Weber and Annie Bett Goodman Weber.

Dave proudly served in the United States Air Force. After his military service, he earned a bachelor's degree from Tennessee Tech. Dave worked for the accounting firm of Totherow, Lynn and Haile, then later ran the business office at Plateau Mental Health Center.

After retirement in 2008, he spent his time bass fishing and serving as the treasurer at his beloved Central Church of Christ. He loved his church and was blessed to have many wonderful neighbors. Dave will be greatly missed by his many friends at his two favorite places - Central Church of Christ and Edd Rogers Chevrolet, where he loved shopping for his next vehicle.

Surviving family members left to cherish his memory include his wife of 60 years, Betty J. McCoy Weber of Sparta

Sister: Dorothy W. Hall and brother-in-law Reverend Dennis Scott Hall, Sr. of Tallahassee, Florida

Nephew: Marty McCoy and wife Annette of Murfreesboro

Great-Nephews: Keaton McCoy and wife Samantha and Karter McCoy

Adopted daughter and son:  Mark and Angie Saylors

His Best Friend: Sammy "Bobo" Saylors

Graveside Services will be conducted 3:00 PM on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Oak Lawn Cemetery with full military honors by the Veterans' Honor Guard. John Knox, Will England and Rev. Dennis Hall, Sr. will officiate. There will be no public visitation prior to the service.

Eugene Gentry, Denny Ray Gentry, Will England, John Smith, Burl Rice and Alan Cash will serve the family as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Marty McCoy, Keaton McCoy, Karter McCoy, Dennis Hall, Mark Saylors, Ben Gardenhire and Roger Clouse
