With grieving but hopeful hearts, we share the passing of David Edward Cunningham, III, "Deacon," age 4, on February 2, 2025.  Deacon was born on December 17, 2020, to his loving parents, DJ and Taylor Cunningham.  He was a delight to everyone.  He adored his Mom and his brother and his face would light up with that beautiful smile at their sight. He enjoyed being outside, especially fishing in the backyard pond with his Dad.  He had an uncanny ability to get you laughing uncontrollably with his infectious little laugh.  He loved his school, and walking around with his walker.  He enjoyed his Stepping Stones therapy sessions and captured the hearts of all of the therapists that had the privilege of working with him.  He was Always smiling and gave the best hugs.  He was such a Gift and incredible Blessing to our family. There are no words to adequately describe how much he will be missed.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Lee and Angie Thomas.

In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his brother Graham Owen Cunningham

Cousins: Mary Frances Bauer, Anne Claire Bauer, Margaret Osborne and Marion Osborne

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00pm Sunday, February 9, 2025 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Cunningham Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12:00pm Sunday at Hunter Funeral Home. Bo Hendrix will officiate.

David Cunningham, Sr., Randy Taylor, Hampton Cunningham and Chris Bauer will serve as pallbearers.
