Obituary

Mrs. Dillie Mae McBride, age 80 of Quebeck, passed away at 5:15pm Sunday, January 14, 2024 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mrs. McBride was born April 16, 1943 in Milledgeville, Georgia to the late Laphie William and Jennie Mae Sparkman Carter. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed being outside working in her flower beds, cake decorating, listening to Elvis and watching her wrestling. Most of all, her greatest joy was being a grandmother to her granddaughter.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband James Walter McBride; four brothers William Carter, Thomas Carter, Edward Carter and Richard Carter.

Survivors include her two daughters Paula Denice McBride and Ken of Sparta, Monica Rana McBride of Quebeck

Granddaughter: Whitney LaShay Slatten and husband Nick

Great-granddaughter: Willa Grace Slatten

Special family member: Jay Robinson

Several nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Saturday, January 20, 2024 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 4-7:00pm at Hunter Funeral Home. David Copeland and Bo Hendrix will officiate.

Eddie Carter, Travis Fitzpatrick, Bryan Miller, Stephen Hogencamp, Derek Hogencamp and Jay Robinson will serve the family as pallbearers.
