Ms. Donna Mae Griffin, age 56 of Cookeville, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Donna was born on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1968 in High Point, N.C. to the late Willie Arvil "Bill" and Kathleen Ratcliff "Kathy" Griffin. She was a longtime employee of Dana, Incorporated. She loved sports and playing cards, especially Phase 10. Many knew her as Donna but Nana by her grandchildren was the name she treasured the most. She loved all things that involved her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her daughter, Anita Kay; sister Juanita Kay; grandmother Birdie Griffin; grandfather Cliney Griffin and many other close family members.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include her two sons Devin Alan Green and Jimmy Daniel Green

Grandchildren: Gabriella, Dameryn, Mymphis and Amelia

Brothers: James (Jennifer) Griffin, Billy (Kathy) Griffin and Roger Griffin

Several nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Friday, June 14, 2024 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Peeled Chestnut Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Friday at Hunter Funeral Home. Gene Williams will officiate.

Devin Green, Jimmy Green, Zach Hodge, Jordan Key, Danny Wagner, Jerry Bingham and Ronnie Marshall will serve as pallbearers.
