Mr. Jeffrey Don Howard, affectionately known as Donnie, age 65 of Sparta, passed away 10:55am on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro.

Donnie was born May 28, 1958 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Woodrow Wilson and Elizabeth Louine Tindell Howard. He was an over the road truck driver for over 40 years. His career as a truck driver took him from coast to coast many times over. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing with his sons. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a brother Benny Howard; a niece and two nephews.

Survivors include his wife Sherry Howard of Sparta

Two sons and their spouses: Morgan and Shayna Howard of Atlanta, GA, Jesse and Kara Howard of Soddy Daisy, TN

Grandchildren: Jack, Eliza and Lane Howard

Siblings and their spouses: Woody and Linda Howard of Sparta, Linda and James Smith of Cookeville, Judy and Clayburn Dunn, Sady and Jana Howard, Wildred and David Vidrine, Terry and Buffy Howard all of Sparta

Several nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Sunday, January 21, 2024 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Saylors Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Sunday at Hunter Funeral Home. James Collier will officiate.

Lamar Smith, Jeremy Szilveszter, Shane Dunn, Andy Howard, Jared Howard, Dale England, Jim Usrey and Rick Kidd will serve the family as pallbearers.
