Mrs. Doris Roberts Humphrey Epps, age 83, passed away at home with her family by her side at 5:16 pm on Thursday, October 29, 2020.

Mrs. Epps was born October 31, 1936 in Walling, Tennessee to the late Boston and Marguerite Goodson Roberts. She was a successful business woman for over 40 years in the corporate world. She served as Chief Executive Officer for multiple corporations during her career. Mrs. Epps was a member of Spring Hill the Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband and father of her son, Dariel W. Humphrey; husband George F. Epps whom she married June 8, 2002; and sister Elise Holder who passed away August 11, 2020.

Survivors include her son Darryl Kevin Humphrey

Brother: Verble H. Roberts and wife Lucille

Niece: Barbara Kay Farley and husband Larry

The family would like to give a special thank you to Mrs. Epps' caregiver, Paula Savage, and to the team at Kindred Hospice for their professionalism and compassion.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Spring Hill the Baptist Church with burial to follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12:00pm Tuesday at the church. Frank Randolph and Alton Marcum will officiate. The family asks that all guests to the church please wear a mask.

Larry Farley, Jason Farley, Brent Farley, Mark Stone, Luke Trapp and Earl Roberts will serve the family as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the White County Animal Shelter in care of Hunter Funeral Home, PO BOX 90, Sparta, TN 38583

The register book will be available for signing beginning Monday morning at 8:00am in the lobby of Hunter Funeral Home for those that are not comfortable in a crowd.
