Mrs. Dorothy Belle Daugherty Dykes, age 88 of Sparta passed away at 4:10am on Monday, September 21, 2024 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Dorothy was born in New River, Tennessee on November 21, 1935. She had an interesting work career from a being a professional wrestler from 1952 to 1964; to being a team truck driver with her husband and traveled the entire lower 48 and spending her retirement years as a CNA and cabinet builder. Dorothy is preceded in death by her mother Opal Phillips; husband Bill Dykes; infant son Billy Dean Satterthwaite and the grandparents that raised her, Matthew and Mattie Phillips.

Survivors include her four children Marjorie Neary, Patricia Parks, Gary Dykes and Anthony Dykes

Grandchildren: Matthew Neary, Isaac Parks, Darius Parks, Sam Henderson, Shane Henderson and Colton Dykes

Hunter Funeral Home has been entrusted with Dorothy's cremation and no services are planned.
