Elizabeth Louise Anderson

Mrs. Elizabeth Louise Cannon Anderson, age 83 of Sparta, passed away Friday, September 18, 2026 at Life Care Center of Sparta.

Elizabeth was born April 16, 1943 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. With her strong work ethic, she was employed as a shirt factory worker as well as a Certified Nursing Assistant. It was that same work ethic that she so proudly instilled into her children and grandchildren. Elizabeth took great pride in the fact that her children are all hard workers. She loved music and enjoyed dancing in her younger years. Elizabeth was an active member of East Sparta Church of God

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband Donald Richard Anderson, who died November 22, 1984; father Charles Lewis Cannon; mother Ruby Leola Pickett Kilgore; granddaughter Kayla Anderson and six siblings.

Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include her son Richard D. Anderson

Two daughters: Lisa Anderson Harvey and Tina Anderson (Randy) Hiett

Grandchildren: Donnie Anderson, Kris Anderson, Jeremy (Saydee) Anderson, Emily (John Wayne) Counts, Keaton (Breanna) Harvey, Amber Boswell, Taylor Goolsby and Christian Boswell

Great grandchildren: Maisy Elizabeth Anderson, Savannah Anderson, Donovan Anderson, Hadley Boswell, A.J. Smotherman, Kamdyn Shay Lannom, Althea Boswell and Abel Goolsby

Sister: Mary Ann (Kittrell) Smith

Brother: James Kilgore

A host of nieces and nephews also survive

Hunter Funeral Home has been entrusted with Elizabeth’s cremation and a memorial service will be conducted 2:00pm Wednesday, September 23, 2026 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. The family will receive friends aftrer 1:00pm Wednesday at Hunter Funeral Home. Bishop Charles Dotson will officiate.
