Eric Lee Young "Fish", age 35 of Sparta, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at St. Thomas Highlands Hospital.

Eric was born September 12, 1986 in Toledo, Ohio to Rick Young and the late June Young. He worked at the first Huddle House in Sparta and then went on to work at Allied Home Medical where he traveled to almost every state in the United States and currently he worked as a brick and block mason. He loved spending time with his family, fishing with his daddy and always tried to out do his sisters growing up. He was the baby boy and spoiled rotten because of it. When he was younger, he would help raise money at benefits by wiggling his ears for quarters, then give the money to the benefit. He always tried to help out where ever he could.

He was the best son, brother and uncle. In addition to his mother, he is also preceded in death by brother Richard Young; sister Catherine Smith; grandparents, Oliver & Ruth Young, Lester & Reba Cunningham all of Sparta; Roy Young of Toledo, Ohio; nephew Ricky Gene Henry of Sparta.

Nieces and nephews: Abby (Hunter), Daniel Jr., Ericka (Ethan) Maddie, Candice (Sabastian), Cameron, Carmen

Great-nephew: Hudson Henry

Step-grandmother: Peaches Young

Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Hensley Chapel Baptist Church with burial in Young Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 5:00pm Friday at the church. Don Shuster and Buster Young will officiate.

T.K. Brewington, Johnny Darryl Young, Greg Young, Sabastian Warren, Robert Manus, Pee Wee Young will serve the family as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Cameron Henry and Daniel Young, Jr.
