Mr. Fred Howell, Jr., age 80 of Sparta, passed away at 4:34pm on Monday, May 1, 2023 at NHC of Sparta.

Fred was born September 5, 1942 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Fred and Ethel Cope Howell. He was a longtime garment factory worker and worked several years at ECMD. Fred enjoyed working, keeping to his self and he took great pride in keeping his yard looking good. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a brother Gene Howell and a half sister Marie Humphrey.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00pm Friday, May 5, 2023 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Old New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 1:00pm Friday in the Parlor of Hunter Funeral Home.
