Obituary

Mr. Freddie Shane Young, age 42 of Livingston, formerly of Sparta, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Shane was born November 5, 1979 in Cookeville, Tennessee to James Steven & Kathy Gaye Green Young, Sr. A 1998 graduate of White County High School, he worked as a lab technician. It was a career that he truly loved, and it allowed him to travel to many states. His favorite time of the year was Christmas, as he enjoyed decorating trees and homes for the holidays. When Shane was not in a lab, he took joy in working outside. Regardless of the job, Shane would do it and do it right to the very best of his ability.

Shane is preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred & Emogene Green, James "Bud" Young and Merkey Holman; uncles Johnny Green and David Young.

Survivors include his parents James & Kathy Green Young, Sr.

Brother: James (Jessica) Young, Jr.

Two sisters: Melanie Wright and Kathy (Tim) Qualls

Special friend: Richard Robbins

Nieces and nephews: Shelbi, Kayla, Bobby, Justin, Kelly, Logan, Malachi, Arian, Michael, Nikole, Tyler and Madison

Several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8:00pm Monday at Hunter Funeral Home. Dewey Young will officiate.

Bobby Wright, Jr., Justin Wright, Logan Brown, Malachi Brown, Arian Qualls and Richard Robbins will serve the family as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Qualls and Cody Johnson
