George William "Buddy" Meadows, age 81 of Sparta passed away Monday, December 8, 2025 at the St Thomas Highlands Hospital.  He was born in Sparta to the late Norman Lee and Alice Irene Strickland Meadows.  He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Billy Meadows, twins Ronnie & Lonnie Meadows, Jerry Meadows, Evelyn McQuestion, Tom Meadows, Ann Phillips and Judy Faye Bumbalough.

Buddy worked at the White County Co-op for 53 years.

He is survived by his sister:  Helen Hastings

and a Brother:  Tim Meadows

along with several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in the New Bon Air Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5pm until 8pm on Wednesday evening.  Bro Bob Scoggins will officiate the services.

Pallbearers will be his friends and coworkers at White County Co-op.
