Mrs. Georgia Louise Hawkins Elrod, age 90 of Sparta, passed away Friday morning, January 20, 2023 at St. Thomas Highlands Hospital.

Mrs. Elrod was born February 7, 1932 in Hilham, Tennessee to the late Perry Milton and Maudie Hooten Hawkins. Louise was a devoted member of Cookeville First Church of God and worked for Thomas Industries. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Roy Elrod, who passed away on February 5, 2018 and siblings Mondonna Oaks . Norma Hawkins, and Verdie Adcock.

A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Monday, January 23, 2023 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Carter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11am-1pm on Monday at Hunter Funeral Home. Cameron Wilson will officiate.
