Mr. Gerald Thomas Verble passed away peacefully with family by his side in his home Sunday June 20, 2021 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee at the age of 74.

Jerry, as he was affectionately known by friends and family, was born December 7, 1946 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Mary Louise Smith Verble and late Nolan Rye Verble. He was a 1964 graduate of White County High School and spent his career as a computer programmer and consultant. Jerry had a love of race cars, motorcycles and the Tennessee Titans.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time on the beaches - both in the United States and abroad. In fact, Jerry loved traveling and going on cruises in the Caribbean. But most of all, Papa Jerry's most beloved time was the late night ice creams with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, JW Verble and Joyce Verble, and brother in law Erbie Clark.

He is survived by his wife Mary Anita Officer Verble of Murfreesboro, Tennessee whom he married on June 29, 1968

Daughter : Stephanie  (Jamie) Weber of Brentwood ,Tennessee

Jerry leaves behind his beloved Grandchildren: Tyler Weber, Jillian Verble, Tanner Weber, Thomas Verble, Tucker Weber and Turner Weber

Sister: Brenda Clark of Sparta , Tennessee

Brother: Jimmy (Sue) Verble of Chattanooga

Several Nieces, and Nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Thursday, June 24, 2021 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Old Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until service time at 1:00pm Thursday at Hunter Funeral Home.

Tyler Weber, Tanner Weber, Thomas Verble, Tucker Weber, Turner Weber and Jamie Weber will serve as pallbearers
