Gladys Marie Rittenberry, age 82 passed away Sunday night, December 29, 2024 at NHC of Sparta.  She was born July 5, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Tobie Lee Farley and Gladys Pinkston Farley. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her  siblings: Sammie Lee Farley, Robert Keith Farley, Joyce Juanita Gray.

Marie was known to her closest family as "Ree".  She was a loving wife, mother, and sister. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years:  J. B. Rittenberry

Children:  Donnie Ray Flatt and Tommy Lee (Sharon) Flatt

Siblings:  Larry D. (Barbara) Farley and Darlene Farley (Larry) Smith

Grandchildren:  Stephanie, Christy, Emily, and Christopher Flatt

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, January 3, 2025 in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in the Oaklawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4pm until 7pm on Thursday evening and from 9 am until service time on Friday.
