Mr. Harold Douglas Rice, age 83 of Sparta, passed away at 6:05am Thursday, December 21, 2023 at NHC of Sparta.

Harold was born August 12, 1940 in McMinnville, Tennessee to the late Roy Ray and Willie Mattie Winnett Rice. He was worked construction as a carpenter. Harold was a talented gardener and avid golfer. When he was not in the garden or on the fairways, he loved to play cards with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by wife Betty Jean Lawson Rice, who died December 2, 2011 and six siblings.

Survivors include his daughter: Felicia J. Barlow

Eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren

Brother: William Rice

In honor of Harold's wishes, a private burial was conducted 10:00am, Friday, December 29, 2023 at Bethlehem Cemetery.
