Ms. Mary Helen Dickerson Frazier, better known as Helen age 89 of Sparta passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at her residence.

Helen was born April 11, 1935 in the Lost Creek Community of White County to the late Henry Thomas and Alma Mae Shelton Dickerson. She always loved working and that was evident after her retirement from Mallory and then she worked at Life Care. She enjoyed working around her home and gardening. Her family that fondly knew her as "Ma" loved her cooking especially her fried apple pies. When she wanted to be away from home, the Smokies was her favorite destination.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her son William Walter Ray, Jr.; daughter Marsha Ann Ray; husband Gordon Frazier; brothers, Henry Thomas "Boonie" Dickerson, Billie Gene Dickerson and Billie Ray Dickerson.

Survivors include her four grandchildren: Billy (Derona) Ray, Vickey Leslie and husband Chris, Jessica Reinarts and Zach Underwood, Sarah Ray Clark and Josh Houser

Great-grandchildren: Ethan, Destiny, Addyson, Nolan, McCray, Demi, Ryleigh, Wyatt and Ava

Great-great-grandchild: Hudson

Close family friend: Chad Clark

Friend and caregiver: Linda Hicks

Brother: Joe Dickerson and wife Larona

Several nieces and nephews also survive

In honor of Helen's wishes, Hunter Funeral Home has been entrusted with her cremation and no public services are planned
