Jackie Ruth Howard-Kinnaird, age 94 of Sparta, TN, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

Jackie was born January 20,1929 in Cooperative, Kentucky to the late Anna Mae Porter and Landon Hamby. She was a retired seamstress and homemaker. She lived and married on Bon Air Mountain in Sparta. She worked and lived a large portion of her life in Sanford, Florida but her heart was always within these Middle Tennessee mountains. She was a loving wife, mother and loyal friend to many. Most importantly, Jackie was a born-again Christian at the age of 14. If you were in her presence for five minutes, she told you about her loving Savior Jesus Christ. She was a member of the Doyle Church of God and attended the Bon Air Church of God for years. Her faith never failed her, and she left this world just like she lived it with no complaints. Earth's loss is Heaven's gain.

In addition to her parents, Jackie is preceded in death by husbands Jim Howard and recently Donald Kinnaird; daughter Lilly Starnes-Spencer; son Danny Howard; infant son Jimmy Lee Howard; siblings Carmen, Gene, Joe, Bobby, Ben, and Peggy.

Funeral services will be conducted 11am Saturday, January 13, 2024 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Eastland Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 10am Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home. Danny Rogers will officiate the service.

Jackie's great-grandsons - Dustin Howard, Brandon Howard, Corey Howard, Michael Howard, Andrew Starnes and Nathaniel Starnes - will serve the family as pallbearers.
