James David "J.D." Snodgrass

James David Snodgrass, better known as “J.D.,” passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at his home.

J.D. was born on May 29, 1974. As an avid Nascar fan, J.D. was a diehard Dale Earnhardt fan as well as Dale Jr. He loved to work on his vehicles in his spare time. His dream was to restore his 1969 GTO. He served eight years in the Army National Guard. J.D. recently celebrated his 28th year of employment at BASF. Above all else, his pride and joy was his wife of 14 years Stacey Snodgrass, along with his nine beloved grandchildren. He loved to aggravate each one of them equally in his own way. He will be loved and missed by those who knew him.

J.D. is preceded in death by his biological father Frank Snodgrass.

Daughter: Kaylee Ramsey and husband Kiel along with their children Calvin, Haven, Daxton and Lyla

Other Grandchildren: Carlie Zile-Roberts and Karter Wade Cunningham

Sister: Laurie Ann & Russell Giampietro

Special Sister: Jamie Batson and husband Jeff

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday, September 13, 2026 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors by the Veterans Honor Guard will follow in Old Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8:00pm Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home. Phillip Luna and Sam Davis will officiate.

Jeff Batson, Ruben Clemmons, Chris Eller, Craig Cooper, Stephen Fowler, Jace Kollmorgan, JR Cole and Shawn Soloman will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Donnie Kollmorgan and Tom Whitworth
