Mr. James Douglas "Doug" Robinson, age 70 of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, a native of White County passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, Georgia.

Doug was born April 12, 1950 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late William Savage "Bill" and Vera Mae Luna Robinson. He worked in the maintenance department for Shaw Carpet as a parts expeditor. Doug was a hard worker and was proud to provide for his family with his work. When he was not working and wanted to relax, he was fishing or watching wrestling. Above all else, his favorite thing to do was spend time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by brothers Gene Robinson, Hebron Robinson and David Robinson; sister Ruby Robinson Holman.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years Naomi Lawson Robinson

Children: Gregory Douglas Robinson, Jason Matthew Robinson and wife Megan, Cheryl Rene Robinson Abrams

Grandchildren: McKenzie Leigh Morgan, Ethan Alexander Abrams, Savannah Grace Abrams, Aiden Dulaney Robinson, Adelaide Dillard Robinson

Two sisters: Rozell "Rose" Briggs and Thelma Spears

Several nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Saturday, April 3, 2021 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Young Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until service time Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home. Eugene Lawson will officiate.
