Mr. Jimmy Curtis Sims, better known as Jimmy, age 57 of McMinnville, passed away at 12:41pm Thursday, December 8, 2022 at his residence after a brief illness.

Jimmy was born April 26, 1965 in McMinnville, Tennessee. He was a truck driver. He loved driving a truck, tinkering with tools and horseback riding. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and fondness of picking at people.

Survivors include his two sons Jerrod Sims and wife Amber, Jacob Sims

Father: Charles Thomas "Tommy" Sims and wife Pat

Grandchildren: Haley Sims, Michael Williams, Samantha Sims, Justin Sims, Tori Sims

Brother: Thomas Wade Sims and Denise

Sister: Vicki Lynn Sims

Nieces: Amber and Candas

Special friend and caregiver Sherrie Hildebrand

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Monday, December 12, 2022 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 2:30pm in Liberty Cemetery in McMinnville. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Monday at Hunter Funeral Home. Wetzel Seibers will officiate.

Jerrod Sims, Amber Sims, Tommy Winnett, Michael Winnett, Gene Muncey and Josh Payne will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hunter Funeral Home, PO Box 90, Sparta, TN 38583 to help the Sims family with funeral expenses.
