Janie Ruth Rich, age 66 of Sparta, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 at the St. Thomas Highlands Hospital.  She was born January 13, 1958 in Smithville,TN to the late Johnny Rich and Virginia Erlene Petty Rich.  She was also preceded in death by her sisters:  Judy Ann Rich and Anita Kay Mayfield.

Janie was a gifted artist who enjoyed drawing and photography.

She was retired from Tennco manufacturing plant.

She is survived by her daughter:  Angelia Ruth (Tim) Brown

Son:  Timothy Leon Scott

Grandsons:  Talon Michael Brown and Dillon Shane Brown

Brother:  Randall Green

Funeral Service will be held Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in the Petty Cemetery in Smithville, TN.  The family will receive friends from 12 noon till service time on Sunday.
