Obituary

Jeffrey "Jeff" Glynn Green of Sparta, Tennessee, passed on August 24, 2024 at the age of 59.

Jeff was born on June 1, 1965 in Spencer, Tennessee to the late Frances Lawson Brown. Jeff loved his family, football (the Raiders), deer hunting, fishing, hiking, riding dirt bikes, riding motorcycles, and just being outdoors. He also loved drag racing his 1971 Chevelle, a vehicle he put a lot of love, effort, and work into it (whether it needed it or not). The car had to be kept clean and wiped down if it got any dirt or dust on it. He loved going for Jeep rides and looking for yard sales with his wife Juwana that was their Saturday tradition and taking her for rides in the evening on the bike. He always had mints or butterscotch in his pockets and would try to give you and tell you "Here put this in your mouth it will help take your mind off things." He was a master mechanic and carpenter. He could fix just about anything. Jeff always had a joke to tell you or a witty comment to share. He was very smart and knowledgeable on the Bible and loved to have discussions on it any chance he had. Above his love for the aforementioned things, he loved his grandchildren most. He will forever be their Poo Pa . He will be missed and loved by the lives he touched. Jeff's legacy will live on as he taught his kids to love God, put the Lord first always and to be respectful human beings. He taught his kids to hunt, fish, be self sufficient and work on cars. Tyler could skin and gut a deer all by himself by the age of 9. Jessie can change and plug a tire better than some men. Tristan can swap a motor or transmission out better than most mechanics.  Jeff always had the best life advice and an opinion on everything. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend everyone needed to have in their life. If you met Jeff, then you will never forget him. Rest in Peace Jeff. You are free.

In addition to his mother, he is also preceded in death by his father-in-law Larry Sullivan, and very special grandparents, Bill & Edna Dulaney, who adopted him as their son.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife Juwana Sullivan Green, his children Tyler (Taylor) Green, Tristan (Audrey) Green, Kristi Green, Jessica (Nick Caston) Green, his grandchildren Tucker Green, Kylani Caston, Keniya Caston, his brothers Wayne (Charlotte) Green, Randall (Shannon) Green, Everett (Paige) Brown Jr., his sisters Becky (Charles) Winnett, Louise Brown Wade, his brothers-in-law Jeff (Rebekah) Sullivan, Mark Sullivan, Chris Sullivan, Titus Sullivan, Larry Sullivan, his mother- and father-in-law Kathy and Darrell Menefee, Uncle whom was more like a brother Wille (Rhonda) Dulaney , special friends Katherine Savage Phifer, Sandra (Rodney) Thomas, Doug Seibers, Dwain Luna and Robert Mitchell.
