Jerry Wayne "Fizzle" McBride, age 80 passed away Friday Morning, September 2, 2022 at the St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.

Jerry was born April 29, 1942 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Charles Clifford and Mary Eula Vinson McBride. He spent most of his life as a car salesman, working at a few different dealerships including his own and Cumberland Dodge for over 20 years until he retired. He was an avid member and past Master of Sparta Lodge No. 99, F.& A.M. as well as a former member of the Shriners. He was a longtime member of Sparta First Freewill Baptist Church.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gertrude McBride

Son: Ricky McBride

Daughter: Beverly Villard and husband Vince

Three grandchildren: Laken Howell and husband Michael, Jesse Villard and wife Grace Haynes, Gracie Villard

Two great-grandchildren: Addison and Riley Howell

Two brothers: Gary McBride and wife Dimple, Clifford McBride and wife Patricia

Sister: Janice McBride Humphrey and husband Joe Denny

A host of nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral Service will be Monday, September 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Sparta First Freewill Baptist Church with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11 am Monday until service time at the church. Rudy Oakes and Dan Horton will officiate.

Larry Martin, Jeff McBride, Kyle Stephens, Stephen McBride, Travis McBride and Jake Young will serve the family as pallbearers.

In Lieu of flowers, family wishes donations to be made to the Sparta First Freewill Baptist Church Youth Fund or the Shriner's Hospital.
