Jerry W. Weldon of Cookeville, Tennessee passed away at his home surrounded by family on December 27, 2023. Jerry was born December 17, 1945 in Blairsville, Georgia. Jerry proudly served in the United States Army. After his time in the service he returned home to Detroit, Michigan where he worked for the Ford Motor Company. After a period he began his career as an over the road truck driver until he retired. He was an avid motorcyclist and a twelve year member of good standing of Viet Nam Vets Legacy Vets MC, F Chapter Cookeville, Tennessee.

Jerry is preceded in death by his mother Sarah E. Moore and husband Emmett R. Moore, father Luther  "Gib" Weldon and wife Joyce; daughter LaDonna Francis and sister Linda S. Bruce.

Jerry is lovingly survived by his daughters Tenecia (Bobby) Lazo, Miranda Weldon

Son: Tim (Kim) Francis

Brothers: Chris (Sheryl) Weldon, Michael Weldon

Six grandchildren

Three great-grandchildren

Several nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Sunday, December 31, 2023 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors by the Veterans' Honor Guard will follow in Saylors Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-8:00pm Saturday and after noon on Sunday at Hunter Funeral Home.
