Mr. Jesse James Adcock, age 94 of Sparta, passed away peacefully at 2:30am Sunday morning April 30, 2023 at Life Care Center of Sparta.

Mr. Adcock was born November 14, 1928 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Anthony Paton & Ruthie Vera Taylor Adcock. He was a farmer and former employee of Tillman Hutchings Sawmill. He served his country in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a son Marion Edwin Adcock; brothers Frank Richard Adcock, Claybron Eldon Adcock and sister Mary Magdaline Luna.

Surviving family members include his two sons Richard "Peanut" Adcock and Shannon Weaver

A host of nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Wednesday, May 3, 2023 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Taylors Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Wednesday at Hunter Funeral Home. Phillip Luna will officiate.

Carl D. Young, David Jones, Sam Parker, Jarred Young, Jerry Cole and Heath Young will serve the family as pallbeaers.
