Mr. Jimmy C. Scott, better known as Jimburr, age 75 of Sparta, passed away at 1:38pm Saturday, October 5, 2024 at NHC of Sparta.

Jimburr was born April 14, 1949 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Jimmy and Mollie Lorene Turrington Scott. He was a logger in his family's business of Scott's Logging. Jimburr will be fondly remembered as an avid guitar player and he taught many people how to play also.

Survivors include his daughter Angie Brown and husband Tim

Son: Tim Scott

Grandchildren: Talon Brown and Dillon Brown

Siblings and their spouses: Charlie and Verna Scott, Ava and Rick Mahler, Brenda and William Trute, Glenda and David Zuber

A host of nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 10:00am Tuesday at Hunter Funeral Home.

Charlie Scott, Barry Scott, David Zuber, Sr., David Zuber, Jr., Bryan Scott and Matthew Scott will serve as pallbearers.
