Mrs. JoAnn Winnett Lance, age 83 of Sparta, passed away at 5:05am on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at NHC of Sparta.

JoAnn was born November 1, 1937 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Archie Newt & Dovie Lee Davis Winnett. She was a homemaker as well as a babysitter. She devoted her time to her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time outside and in her flower garden. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Luther William Lance who died on April 30, 1994; son James Franklin Lance; daughter Melissa Susan Cunningham; grandsons James Lee McCulley and Eddie Shawn Seibers.

Survivors include her children Sandra (Jimmy) McCulley of Doyle, Christie (Wally) Seibers of Spencer, Evelyn Meredith of Sparta, Leslie (Cathy) Lance of Crossville

Per Mrs. Lance's wishes, graveside services will be conducted 2:00pm Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Wally Seibers will officiate. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
