Ms. Joanna Vickers Smith, age 83 of Sparta, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at NHC Cookeville.

Joanna was born December 31, 1942 in Sparta, Tennessee. Her work career included Red Kap and many years at Ragland Bottom Restaurant. In her spare time, she enjoyed coloring and reading her bible. She loved the Lord and giving back to others as she lived a Christian life. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family, who affectionately called her Granny Joe.

Joanna is preceded in death by her sons Benny, Philip, Kenny, Sr. and Alan Randolph; mother Erma Dobbs Harris; father Troi Vickers and sister Juanita Randolph.

Surviving family members include her brothers, Sean (Betty) Vickers and Donnie Vickers

Daughter-in-law: Sherry Randolph

Grandchildren: Racheal (Justin) Bumbalough, Stephanie (David) Williams, Kenny Randolph, Jr., Billy (Shiloh) Randolph, Todd Randolph and Chris Randolph

Great-grandchildren: Victoria McCurry, Alicia Venable, Psych Venable, Neveah Venable, Trenton Williams, Caden Williams, Kyler Williams and Riley Williams

Several nieces, nephews and great great grandchildren also survive

Hunter Funeral Home has been entrusted with Joanna's cremation and a memorial service will be conducted 4:00pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after 2:00pm on Wednesday. Racheal and Justin Bumbalough will officiate.
