Mr. Joe Justin Simmons, age 79 of Quebeck, passed away at 9:07pm on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Joe was born November 15, 1946 in McMinnville, Tennessee to the late Effie Dillon and Josephine Black Simmons. He was proud of the fact that he started working at Mallory when the doors opened and stayed until it shut down. Joe was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He loved working his farm but most of all he loved his family especially the ones that knew him as Pa and G Pa.

In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his sisters, Virginia, Elise and Rena.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years Brenda Jean Cope Simmons

Daughter: Stephani Hickey and husband David

Grandchildren and their spouses: Justin and Klarissa Brattain, Ethan and Amanda Brattain, Maygan and Hayden Slatton, Brittany and Tyler Walling, Brianna Hickey

Great-grandchildren: Alexiah, Adison, Cody, Nolan, Madalyn and Zayden Brattain, Exavior Gamblin, Briar and Brooke Walling, Cash and Lleyton Wardlaw, Emma and Liza Slatton

Sister: Wilma Copeland

In honor of Joe's wishes, private graveside services were conducted on Friday, November 28, 2025 at Anderson Cemetery.
